€65.00
FIRE Photography is the first photography book entirely dedicated to the Arts of Flame and the relationship between humankind and Fire.
Across 120 pages, I invite you on a journey through several years of photography, encounters, travels and performances, centred around an element that has always fascinated me: Flame.
More than a retrospective, this book tells a story through what I have experienced and photographed. It is also the story of the artists who learn to master Fire, play with it, and sometimes push their own limits.
Photographing Fire means trying to capture something that exists for only a fraction of a second. A Flame never takes exactly the same shape twice. The artist’s movement, the light, the smoke and the darkness come together to create a unique image that disappears almost as soon as it exists.
My work is about choosing that precise moment and preserving a trace of it. I am not simply trying to document a performance, nor have I chosen to present only the most spectacular photographs. Each image has been selected for what it tells, for the place it holds within this journey, and for the way human gesture and the movement of the Flame come together to create meaning.
FIRE Photography was born from this desire: to bring together, for the first time in a single book, a photographic body of work entirely dedicated to this world, and to share my own perspective on this unique relationship between humankind and Fire, between control and unpredictability, power and fragility.
Fire disappears. The image remains.
FIRE Photography is now available for pre-order.
Copies will begin shipping in October 2026.
